GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas – The Grand Prairie AirHogs have scheduled their 2012 open tryouts for Saturday, May 5, at 10 a.m. at QuikTrip Park. The tryout will be conducted by AirHogs manager Ricky VanAsselberg along with coaches and players. At least one tryout participant will receive an invitation to spring training with the club, which begins May 7.
Registration begins at 9 a.m. The fee for the tryout is $50 in advance and $65 the day of the tryout. Call972-504-9383 to reserve your location today. All participants will receive an AirHogs T-shirt but otherwise must bring all of their own gear.
The 2011 American Association Champion Grand Prairie AirHogs begin the defense of their title on Thursday, May 17, against the Laredo Lemurs at 7:30 p.m. The 2012 home opener is Monday, May 21, at 7:05 p.m. against the El Paso Diablos.
