Justin Dowdy was the AirHogs’ closer in 2012 and led the team with 17 saves.  He went 2-1 with a 2.27 ERA in 31 appearances

.Dowdy came to the AirHogs after spending the 2011 season with triple-A Fresno in the San Francisco Giants organization.  He was selected in the 18th round of the 2001 draft at the age of 17 by the Chicago White Sox.
